Follow the science, the advocates declare
Viruses to be vanquished, the climate change challenge
Cancer conquered, pollution placated
Just the opposite, swarms of internet armies
Evidence not required, either of our own
Gods or our freedom to speak Facebook
Convince the earth is still flat
Vaccines the Trojan Horses to suppress you
Science is controlled emotion
Anti-science, uncontrolled manipulation
Too often, we are dominated by words
Science is the wrong word
Not an entity, nor identifiable object
But a concept of empirical logic
Trying to explain the complexities of nature and cosmos
Not always right, truth may be hard to discern
Surrounded by the opaque sclera, there to tease
Anti-science, the obverse
Portraying myths to suit the few
Nothing correct, inside or around
But remember this
Without vaccines, smallpox and polio
Would have devastated humankind by now
