A heart passing through the sky
Blades overhead
Unsuspecting parties below
Beneficial carnage
Begins with a wreck
A straight line starts with death
Hopefully life at the other end
Permission tenderly sought
Distraughtly given
Kidneys to Winston
Liver to Charlotte
Heart to Philly
Brain going nowhere just yet
Except for the grave
But where is the soul?
Does it go to the grave as well,
Or to the life-support hospitals?
Can a soul be divided this way?
No-one knows
It surely wasn’t consulted
Body partitioned
Soul forgotten
