Over the mountain
Early morning best
The sky condenses
Rolls toward the village
Like an ocean wave in Hawaii
A sandstorm in the Sahara
A wave of refugees from Syria
In form, the charge of the light brigade
Or the Normandy landings
Converging on your place
But we know the earth’s heat
Evaporates the miniscule bubbles of danger
Shortly the sky will be blue
